Hi
i have a 1947 stylemaster with drum brakes.
This weekend my brakes went out luckily I had fixed the e- brake a couple of days before.
After diagnosing the front passenger wheel cylinder went out so I ordered new cylinders for the front a well as hoses and wheel seals so I can repack the bearings.
I would like to install a dual master cylinder with a brake booster
I found this but want to get options for something that will work

any help is appriciated

thanks
augie

Remember that brakes are a complete system. Changing one component affects the whole system.

There are 2 key areas I would investigate before making the conversion.

What is the normal operating pressure of the boosted dual master cylinder? How does that compare to the operating pressure of the system today? If the pressures are higher, can the rest of the components handle that increased pressure?

The other is the question of pressure balance or bias front to rear. Does the split cylinder provide the same pressure to the front and rear cylinders? What about volume of flow? The current system is designed for equal pressure at all 4 wheels. The braking force is different front to rear because the wheel cylinders are different diameters. The flow volume is distributed based on the resistance provided by each cylinder and the volume needed to move that cylinder to create equal resistance.

Welcome to the world of after-market parts re-sellers!

You might want to go to a Good Guys show near you this year. There will be knowledgeable suppliers as well as lots of cars with this type conversion.
