Charlie, I have known, and used, D&M Restorations in Greenville, S.C. for over 25 years. My personal opinion is they are a little pricey but darn good.

The great thing about it is D&M is only about 25 miles from me.

Hi Charlie,

Great deal just for you!!! 1941 Temperature Gauge on ebay

Best wishes, Mike

P.S. I will check to see what I have, but it's going to be real expensive.

Just a note to say that it's fairly easy to change a poor or incorrect color face on an otherwise working gauge. Grind off the rivets from the back side and remove the face. A better looking face can be installed using short lengths of the correct diameter electronics solder as replacement rivets. Peen the solder from both sides. The peened ends are hidden behind the dash gauge bezel. I think I have used .032" solder.

Neat trick with the solder "rivets"! Easy to get material, does not take much force to peen them, and more than strong enough for this application. Thanks!

Thanks for the information, guys.

Mike and Achipmunk: I just bought the one on eBay. Cost me $60.99 using "buy it now." When i get it, I'll send it off to D&M to get it repaired.

Minetto: I have thought about that but couldn't see any way clear to get my blow torch close enough to be effective and not produce collateral damage hood Agrin

Best to everyone.
