There are several different door handles for 1841.

Those listed in the cite below did not carry a part number.

I asked the seller what the numbers were inside the groove on them. He came back with the numbers he found. Neither of which matched the numbers listed in my 29-50 parts book.

What do you think. Maybe after market?

Thanks,

Charlie computer

The part numbers listed in the parts book are not on the back of the handles. There were/are only two correct original 1941 inside door handles. For the Special Deluxe the ivory knob woth the copper colored inset and the Master Deluxe a solid tan knob.
Several years after 1950 the parts book has 1941 handles combined with later years and as far as looks is concerned they did not matach the original 1941 handles knobs. You need a 1941 parts book for original 1941 numbers and correct original parts.

Gene,

These are outside door handles not inside ones. Not sure my thread post was clear on that point.

Thanks for your reply post.

as listed in the aug. edtion of the 1929/41 parts book under gp.10.534 the part numbers for the 41 exterior door handles are listed as pt. 4114621 closed except for fleetline rear & cbl, pt 4115114 cbl. pt.4124487 rear fleetline, pt.4115411 back door sdl. some of these pt numbers are also listed in later parts books but might not have had the red line in them as did the 41s. also some of them would have the hole for the retainer screw/pin drilled in them and some you had to drill the hole yourself. hope this helps
