Does the speedo gear come out of the left side of the trans or must you disassemble the back end of the trans?

The speedometer gear is located in the "U" joint ball retainer at the back of the transmission. The speedometer cable is attached to the left side of the "U" joint ball retainer. laugh laugh laugh

Redracer,
One half of the speedometer gear set can be removed without taking the transmission or u-joint apart. The other gear is pressed onto the front of the u-joint which must be removed by taking the u-joint apart and then from the back of the transmission shaft.
