Thank you for the information, it appears it won't be an easy search. Can anyone provide the measurements for the hood and hood side length for a 34 Master and the grill dimensions so if I find any I can check them? Thanks again.

As I mentioned in the parts wanted section, I recently acquired a 1934 Master 3 window coupe which is missing some vital parts so the search begins. Right now I am looking for a drivers door, hood and sides, and a grill. I know the Masters and Standards are dimensionally different and with swap meet season coming up, I want to make sure I am informed so I don t buy the wrong parts. Are all 34 3 window doors interchangeable? Will a 35 Standard 3 window door fit a 34? What is the best way to tell a 34 Master grill, hood, and sides from a Standard? Is anything else interchangeable with a 35 Standard? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I can't answer all your questions but I do know a 35 door won't fit a 34 and I don't know of any parts that are interchangeable. 34 Grills are longer than a 35 Standard and so are the Hoods.

The parts you require will only fit a 1934 MASTER and the door will fit only a 1934 Master 3 window coupe...........GOOD LUCK
No parts will interchang with a '35 Standard.

HRT, this online copy of the Chevrolet parts book will help you to identify parts for your car.

HRT,

I just finished working on painting my 34 Master shell and grill. The length of the grill is ( from the center of the grill top to bottom) 31 3/4". From the back side of the grill there is a bar that measures 18 1/8" across. The shell is 33 1/4" from the top of the opening to the bottom of the shell (measured from the center of the shell). Using the large hole on the sides of the shell and measued from the back side of the shell is 23 1/8" across. Hope this helps.

I do have another 34 master shell but not in the best condition.

Hi Einar,

That information is very helpful. At this point I can't tell the difference between a Master grill, a Standard or a truck by looking at them so having the dimensions will be invaluable when I am at the swap meets. Thank you for taking the time to respond. If you are interested in parting with the extra grill shell you have please email a photo, price, and where you are located so I can check into shipping. Thanks again.
