Morning gents.
Does anyone know where I might be able to find another Windshield crank housing ? That rolls the windshield up and down... I attempted to fix the one I have here , but the worm gear is toast and the one of the other gears that rolls the window up and down is broke.
I doubt this is something that is reproduced .

found my receipt it was Dec 2015 and a $35 core credit if you returned the windshield handle shaft
maybe he stopped doing that and found a source for the shafts he was short on ??

No matter who you get the kit from there is a core charge for the shaft. I’ve gotten them from both the FS and GARY. I think with GARY he’ll send you the kit and if you don’t send the shaft, he’ll charge you. With the FS, I think they charge you the core charge up front and credit you once they receive the shaft back. I might be wrong but I think that’s what I remember.
Remember to install the regulator on the board with blind nuts instead of the original nuts and washers. The reason is if you have an issue in the future you do not have to remove any of the boards face upholstery to get at the nuts.

I do it on all i rebuild. The washers and sq nuts don’t make sense to me under the upholstery. If you need to remove the regulator from the board, there’s no way to hold those nuts without removing upholstery. T nuts make service easy.
