I have my steering out and on the bench. I am trying to repair this sloppy steering box on my 33 Standard Tudor sedan I have two new NOS sectors that are marked 1933 sedan. The thing is they are smaller than the one in my car. I noticed that if I don’t remove my bushing that is in my box the new ones I have will go into the old bushings and the new shift will fit. The pitman arm will draw uptight with a smaller nut. Is this the right way it is supposed to fit or do I need to beet the brushes and find the sector set that looks just like the one I pulled out of my steering box?

Based on what I can see in the parts catalog there were 2 different steering gear box assemblies used in 1933. I expect you have the wrong sector and pitman shaft for your vehicle.

It seems I have a 1933 Master steering box in my car. which is a standard on a count my window divider the one behind the vent window does not go up and down with the window. As for as I can tell someone put a master steering box in my car sometime in the past 80 years who knows. Tom had this car for 57 years but I don't think he ever worked on it. I believe he paid other people to work on the car. So who knows what was done. I think I got a break here I just ordered a shaft foe a 1933 Master part number 261353. My parts book says it is not for a CC (standard) but its the same one I just pulled out of my car he posted some good pic of it It has the bigger nut to hold the pit- arm on it. I grow up with Mopars I can quote chapter and verse as far as part numbers and codes. That is up to 1971 anything after that is/was garbage. I am 58 years old and having to learn this old Chevy stuff all over again...

There are two different vesions of the 1933 Master. Early vesion was called Eagle and the front door vent divider bar was not used. The later vesion was a Master and the divider bar was stationary. The Standard came out in March and was a smaller and different car.It had hood side louvers where the Master and Eagle had hood side doors. The Standard water pump attached to the cylinder head, te other to to the block. The Standard as 5 lug nuts per wheel and Eagle/Mastr hs
The Standard steering gear will not fit int the Eagle/Master. have six.

You are the man! Well, I have six luges My water pump is bolted to the block and there are three doors on each side of the hood. Would a Master be a CC or DC?

It would be a CA (master), CC is the standard.
