I'm restoring a '35 Standard and after inspecting the differential, I noticed that the retaining clips that hold the axle in place are missing. Does anyone have a good cross over option for purchasing new clips? I'm also interested in a set of originals if anyone has a spare set. Thanks!

My 1951 Master Parte Catalog says they fit passenger cars to '51. They probably go farther. Somebody should have a pair.
Good Luck.

Green, I am sorry. I looked and looked, and I do not have the retainers you need.

What clips do you mean, the C shaped clips on the inside of each spider gear?

Yes, exactly, the C shaped clips that sit inside the spider gears at the end of each axle! I'm missing both. However, in a strange stroke of luck, I called a local Model T guy who just happens to have a lone Chevrolet rear end in his Ford "bone yard". This may prove helpful, but I'll have to wait for things to dry up a bit to get to the rear end, its pretty soft out there right now. But, if there is a spare set of clips out there, I would be much appreciative. Thanks

I have a bunch of them. Pm me your address. I’m curious, how were the axles staying in the rear? Without those clips the axles will just come right out.
