what was the factory configuration of the lower hose? currently our car has a long '60s-style flex hose in place. have not tried to remove it but expect it to be rock-hard like the upper hose was. Filling Station catalog shows a metal pipe for lower hose ending with '34. did this car originally have the metal pipe with two short pieces of straight hose on each end? want to remove the lower hose so I can back-flush the radiator and prefer to replace it with whatever is correct.

The original was two short pieces of hose and a metal elbow. The parts book lists the metal elbow as fitting ALL 1935-1939 vehicles.

Filling Station catalog lists metal elbows for 1929-34 but nothing for 1935-40.
is there another source y'all know of?
