I own a super Chevy Epica that was bought in the UK with right hand drive. I now live in Europe and need to refocus the headlights for left hand drive...can the headlights be adjusted and if so how?? Thanks!

johnners,
I doubt that many of us have ever heard of a Chevy Epica. It is not a model that is available in North America. Good luck though.

We have them here in Canada but not a clue about the headlights. Ideally you will need to check a service manual for the car and maybe a parts manual to see if maybe there are different headlight bodies in each country or whether it is indeed something adjustable.

Epica is something I have not heard of in Australia but my guess there is a adjustment of some sort for the headlights but have no idea of the amount of adjustment.

I just had a look on carsales.com.au and there are 61 Holden Epicas for sale in Australia.

So this is a fairly new model car. Not necessarily what we normally talk about in this forum but I will share a few ideas to consider.

You might need to find a friendly parts specialist at a local Chevy dealer or do some internet searching. Given the newer technology of automotive lighting it might not be as simple as "re-aiming" the lights. It could be that different bulbs or even complete assemblies are used in right hand and left hand drive vehicles.

The light pattern itself might be different for right hand versus left hand drive cars. There is often a "cutoff" pattern that will direct more light to the shoulder of the road compared to straight ahead and towards oncoming traffic.

A good first step is to simply look at the light beam pattern with the car parked about 25 feet (8 meters) from a plain wall. Cover one light temporarily with a heavy dark towel or blanket so you can evaluate each pattern separately.
