I have a 1927 sedan with 4 doors and an extra set of roll down windows aft of the rear doors. Title says it is a Superior, but it has rounded front fenders. Is it a Capitol or a Superior V ??? Doing title work at DMV on Tuesday. Would like to be sure it is right. Can someone help me? VIN is 3363038. Has single exhaust and only rear brakes.

Rusty Junk do you have a Fisher Body tag on the firewall of the car. It will have a four digit job number on it. If it is a late series 'V' (built after 1 August 1926) it will be 6710; if it is a Capital 'AA' (built after 1 Jan. 1927) it will be 7210. Both can be registered as 1927. I have a late series 'K' that was built in late Sept. or early Oct. 1925 and is registered as a 1926. Chevy dealers signed their dealer contracts in August every year and after signing the contract they were allowed to sell all cars after that date as next years cars. Just like our new cars come out in September each year as the next calendar year models. I hope this helps.

It is a #7210, but all paperwork says it is a Superior V. Had to stay with last two titles as a Superior. Is there any difference except rounded fenders in the front? Can't see anything that jumps out and identifies it. Thanks for info.

Rusty Junk, Some evident differences include, fenders, hood, radiator shell, headlights, cowl lights, visor.
All of which can be replaced on a Superior.
But the Capital body has a completely different belt line, which should close the case on what you have.

Rusty junk; Roger makes an excellent point. Here are two photos of a '27 that I copied off the internet. . If your car has the trim line that goes from the top of the straight side of the hood, goes under the door handle and wraps around the car ;your car is a '27 Capital 'AA'. If not then it is a Superior 'V'.
