I restored Lucwheel 12 years ago. At the time I passed on replacing the tires as I was already way over budget and the tires were yellowed but serviceable. Well, baby got new shoes yesterday. Five new Coker, B.F. Goodrich wide whites with new tubes with the correct metal stems. All ready for the AACA Winter National Meet next Thursday in Miami. (I tried to upload some photos but they're too large. I'll resize some in the computer and upload them later.) Photos added.

I can't believe it was 12 years ago as I remember sending you a paint chip seems like just a couple years ago. The car looks great !

Yeah, time flies. I bought Lucwheel (there's a story in the name) barely running in 2008. We finished her in 2010 in time for the VCCA National Meet/Chevrolet Anniverary in Flint in 2011 where she won 3rd in class. She got her AACA 1st Junior in 2011. Since then I've put quite a few miles on her - all on the tires that came on it. I'm putting her in the AACA Winter National next Thursday and I decided it's time she got new shoes. These new tires really pop. Thanks to help from VCCA members like yourself, the Filling Station and Coker Tires, this old Chevy came back to life and turns head and brings smiles everywhere she goes.
Here's some before photos.
