Going to have access to a complete 1953 front suspension. How many items will interchange to a 1942 front suspension. Thanks for any information.

1953 and 1954 are all the same
1949-1952 most parts the same
1948 and back no parts the same.

You would be half way to convert to 5 lugs and easier to adjust brakes,the brakes and drums are the only parts you could make work on a 42.
