I know it has probably been asked before, but I am new to the forums. The ignition wire inside the cable going from the ignition switch to the coil is frayed. I tried to remove the cable from the switch, but did not want to break anything. Can this wire be replaced?
Thanks, Steve

It is called an "electrolock". There is more than one type, and 1936 is the newer type (earlier types ran the armor all the way to the distributor IIRC). There are members in here who rebuild them. I expect you will get better answers than this before it's over, but in the mean time here is a thread about a newer style electrolock. It might have some hints:

You can drill out the old wire. You will need to weld a bit (proper size) to a long rod and drill out the old wire. Then you can run a new wire thru.
