Long Shot. My cousin's grandson found this on his property, is there enough to figure what it is? Otherwise we'll have to wait until spring..

That job number is not listed in my 1941 Master Parts Catalog. I don't know if other GM divisions used Job Numbers, so it could be something besides Chevy. In Chevy terms, the 31009 would indicate 1931.
From what I can see of the hood, it looks like '48-'52 Ford (Mercury) truck.

Thanks Mike. That hood hinted Ford to me too. So he's got remnants of two vehicles there.

Couldn't tell you, it is buried in snow. I intend to go with him in the spring to see if there is anything else.
