Hi all, I'm new to VCCA. I'm looking at buying a 1932 Chevrolet Panel Delivery. Need help figuring out what it is. Listed as a 1933 but I think its a 1932
Its a former forest service delivery, per the sinage residue on the doors. Has huge glass window hand crank rollup sides. Reminds me of a Funeral flower car, 1 big barn door in back. Has 4 vertical louvers in the hood sides.
Body by fisher tag shows the following:
JOB NO 32570
Body No 174
Trim No 21
Paint has no data that I can see

Title shows:
Make Body Year Built Model Identification Number
CHevrolet Coach 3823444 26
370838 33 2820

Any help appreciated

Job No. 32570 is a 1932 Sedan Delivery not a Coach. The Coach Job No. 32551. The Sedan Delivery should have metal panels without windows behind the front doors and a single rear door covering about 2/3 of the back of the body. The Body No. 174 indicates it was the 174th Sedan Delivery body for that Fisher Body Plant. There should be a letter indicating the Fisher Body Plant before the digits. If there is no letter it might indicate that all Sedan Delivery bodies were built in a single plant. I would need to do a little research to verify.

A 1932 Sedan Delivery (first body type) (Job No. 31570) exists with "quarter windows" in the Duluth MN area. It is the only one previously known with glass windows and not metal panels.

The '32 SDs are fairly uncommon but desirable. They have special lights on the upper rear of the body that are very hard to find if they are missing.

I think there is one other 32 SD in our area (3) within driving distance of Boring - 1 hour. If you would like to go look at it I can ask the owner if I can give you his contact info. He may have seen this post and may step in. This one is rare enough that in my opinion it really should not be hot rodded. Art
