Greetings from Sweden!

I’m currently restoring a ”˜60 235 to be used in my ”˜51 Styleline, originally built with a 216 engine. The car was converted to 12v before I bought it so I figured I could use the flywheel with 168 teeth ring gear from the newer engine to be able to run a bigger clutch and also the 12v starter. I have earlier run the 6v starter on 12v with the original 153 teeth flywheel so I know this can be done as well.
My concern is if there is enough space in the 216 bell housing for the newer 10” clutch (both pressure plate and friction disc) and flywheel, or am I stuck with the old flywheel and 9” clutch?
Any help would be highly appreciated.

Regards
Erik

Ther is enough space. An 11 inch clutch was optional for the 216.
