Hi all! I was wondering if anyone knows what the measurements are for the rear mudguard fenders for the 1-ton truck. I have a 1928 LP that I've been restoring, and have been keeping an eye out for a pair of rear fenders for her for some time. I may have found a pair of them off of ebay for $500, and the guy that is selling them won't ship them - they are for pick-up only (might be why he hasn't had any real bites on them yet) He has them described as "Pair Chevrolet Capital rear truck fenders for a 1925, 1926, 1927, 1928, & 1929" I am aware that the truck fenders are larger than the average car fenders to accommodate for the larger wheel size on the 1-ton trucks, but that's the extent of my knowledge. Is there anything as far as dimensions that I can measure or ask the seller to measure to verify that these are indeed the right fenders for my truck? FYI: Link to the item in question, if anyone is interested in looking at the pics: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Pair-Chevr...a-1925-1926-1927-1928-1929-/283563914600Like I said, any advice would be appreciated on this. I've been keeping an eye out for the right fenders for my baby for quite a while now.. and I'm hoping these are the right ones. Thanks! -Aaron

I have an extra pair of rear fenders, look very nice. $300 plus shipping from Reno, NV. If interested I will measure and box for UPS or FedEx GROUND shipment. I have two sets, one for my 28 LP and a spare set, so I can confirm fitment and give you dimensions. Can send photos to your e-mail, but not to this media. I have a dinosaur phone, and proud of it, just $14 from Walmart. It answers calls, that's it. But I can take photos with camera and send via e-mail. If interested Can send pics tomorrow. Eric in Reno, Nevada (303)725-3040 cell and (775)440-1774 home answering machine. Thanks, Eric

Well, I checked the fenders. They are for a coupe/sedan, so I can't help you. The measurements of my LP truck rear fenders are 21 inches high, 42 1/2 bottom width and 67 inches in upper circumference. Wish I had another set. Sorry, but it looks like you are going on a road trip. My fenders match the design of the fronts. They are curved with a higher center, matching the fronts on cars. Hope you can find a pair. You may want to try Rocky Mountain Relics if this guy doesn't pan out. They charge $500 for a pair. Hope this guy's are correct. Be sure they have the bolt on adapter plate on the inside of the fender so they can be mounted on the side of the bed.. Sorry to get your hopes up. I had no idea they were car fenders, and very nice at that. Eric
Just looked at the eBay ad. They are correct for your truck and they have the mounting plates. Go for it! They are hard to come by.

Hi This might help... maybe. Look for images on the internet like these to compare to: https://www.hemmings.com/users/162126/gallery/594.htmlLook closely at the pattern of the crown, overall shape, bolt hole locations, any rivets, beading etc. I'm not going to say the Ebay fenders are the same as the ones on the truck I linked to, but my eye isn't seeing much in the way of differences either. Aaron, I think those fenders are correct for your truck but $500.00 is pretty steep for them. There are lots of these fenders out there because many owners removed them when the trucks were new. I'm pretty sure I have an extra pair in Missouri. Let me look around a bit.

They are the correct rear guards for 1 ton trucks from 1925-28,but on this truck, the "Z" shaped rear mounting bracket(mudguard to chassis rail)hasn't been used. The 2 mounting holes for the bracket are just visible on the inside of guard up from the bottom on the chassis side of the guard face. If i could get hold of a pair of steel guards for the back of my truck for $500 USD,it'd be worth it,as they are next to impossible to find in Australia.

I am really sorry. I moved my tractor and found the extra set of rear fenders for the truck. If you haven't purchased the other set I will sell them to you for $250, a set of 2, plus shipping. Please call me at (775)440-1774 Eric. If still needed I will take photos today. I knew I had them, somewhere. Hope this helps your search.

Have you received the fenders? I heard you had a heck of a snow storm. Eric
