Hello everybody, i'm new here, and we have in our family a 1924/5 Utility Express truck bought by my late grandfather in the 90's.
What i want to ask, is how GM/Chevy exports worked at the time, regarding models? i ask this because GM started assembling CKD vehicles in Brazil in 1925 (the first being a Commercial in september '25), but they were 1924 models.

Our truck, is a '24, with quarter elliptical springs at the front, but recently i learned about engine casting dates, and when i checked, the truck has a june '25 engine, and a closed bellhousing, instead of the exposed flywheel and clutch of the '24 models

Was it common practice to send leftover frames and bodys for export when the new model was introduced in the US, or what happened in early Brazilian production is a isolated thing?
