Took it off a 46 to 48 in the junkyard but never seen a fan made with the edges cut off like this,it looked like it had the original 216.

Looks like a 30s fan but I'm sure they used that style in many years and models.

The ends MAY have trimmed like that to clear the front of the harmonic balancer with a short shaft water pump.

I found this fan while trying to find a flatter fan for my 37,I have the 49 to 54 fan and not enough room to change the belt without removing the water pump and have since found the correct 37 fan. Just trying to figure out what it originally came off of and looks to have been made that way and not modified

The '37 car actually had 3 different water pumps during the production run. The difference between the first 2 designs was that the pump shaft was 1/2" longer. That change required the fan with the offset blades.

Check out this older post with my learning curve on this issue.

I have a 37 truck that has a 53/54 pump and a fan that came off a 53 or 54 sedan delivery and I think there is about 1/4 to 3/8 between the fan and radiator,I also had a 4 row radiator made which could be agrivating the problem some too. The 54ish fan sticks out towards the radiator more then the other fan I got which I will be trying when it gets a new engine this winter, the fan with the cut outs on the blades sits back twoards the pump more then what is on it but I like the supposive original fan better.

No. That is definitely not a GM fan.

It looks like it may have come off Uncle Ed's favorite lawn mower. Just saying. bike Agrin
