look for a pair of the 11445 type as used in 40-54? 1/2 ton. The 0100 is a ball bearing, ridiculously expensive when it surfaces as NORS, and isn't very good in the first place. Get both sides. Don't mix ball and roller.
Some likely possibilities (with verification needed):
I have a number of the 100's if you end up wanting to go that route. They are not New Departure but a quality aftermarket of the era. Send me a pm if interested and I will put my hands on a couple.
Thanks Dave. Working with Mike right now on drive shaft and bearings. If he doesn't have what I need, I'll get in touch. One thing that is puzzling me is the rear pinion bearing Hyatt OR 1506. Does this bearing have a inner race or do the rollers run on the pinion shaft?
One needs to make sure that the bearing is pushed all the way in for sure, it probably wont do it by itself. Later rearends use a 1/8 inch thick fork tool to make sure the bearing is all the way in. The shop manuals never mentioned it for this rearend, although they did for later designs that used the same bearing. I bought one from the Filling Station, but you could make one. I'm not even sure it will work in this rearend but I think it will. You might be able to get between the gear teeth with a flat nosed punch and do it that way.
I am going to put a drop or two of loctite on mine, but not overdo it, in the interest of being able to take it apart again someday. You could probably use heat from the outside to help release it.
