Just wondering how the speedometer gear comes off the universal joint on my 32, I was thinking maybe heating it up ??

I don't know if your 32 is different than 31, but take a look at pictures showing the speedometer gear assembly in Specification P10 within the '1931chevrolet.com' website. It might be of some help to you.

Heating it up to expand the ring gear should help. I have a puller that has small enough jaws that can grab the ring. Might also use a small flat ended soft (brass) punch to tap around the inside edge. It will be necessary to only move it slightly with each tap. Probably take several trips around the gear to get it off.
