Hi new member and new to the antique chevy world. I'll try to keep this short. I just got a '36 Panel truck that belonged to my father. It's been in a garage since 1944 so it's in pretty good shape. The motor is apart but appears to be complete so I'm researching builders to go over it and reassemble. In the meantime it has some minor things I can work on, broken window, missing door handles, etc. I've been looking at different part sites and a lot of parts are for low cab or high cab. Did the panel come either way or how do I determine what it is? Thanks in advance.

Augie,
All 1936 trucks such as Panels, Suburbans and Canopy Express, were referred to by Chevrolet as "Single Unit" bodies and were all of the high roof design.
If you do a google image search for 1936 Chevy truck, you will see both types. For easy ID, high roof trucks have 3 door hinges, low roof trucks have 2 door hinges.
Tell us your location and maybe we can help you find an engine guy.
And BTW, Congratulations on your acquisition.
I have a 1936 low roof truck.

Thank you very much. I'm near Allentown, PA but I travel to New England every week so that area isn't a problem if there's any up that way. Checked out one in CT.
