I bought a 1948 Chevy truck last month and am having fun working on it and driving it. The heater is missing some parts. Problem is I don't know what all parts it's supposed to have. Under the dash I have the heater motor connected and what looks like a vent. I don't have a motor switch and any thing to connect to the vent. If someone has a schematic that shows the heater system with all its parts, please share it.

If you can get an accessory installation manual for 1948-1949-1950 or 1951 the instructions andpart pictures will be there.
There were two heaters available those years and the Deluxe Air Flow heater is the one you have if it s connected to the vent on the side of the cowl and the motor sticks through a large hole in the fire wall.
A copy of some of those years is available from fillingstation.com

Thanks- Great info. I found both sites you mentioned and have ordered a parts catalog on CD.

The pictures will not be in the parts catalog.....they are in the accessory installation manual because a heater was a dealer installed accessory.

That's what I meant- the accessory installation manual.
