So my new (to me) '32 has a pretty plain-jane interior. I've got a few questions for y'all:

1. Did a '32 have sun visors?

2. I've seen some pics of interiors with clocks in front of the passenger seat. Was it electric or wind-up?

3. There is zero storage space in my Confederate, except under the floor boards. Was the glove box not invented yet?

4. What's under the back seat? Looks like it should be a huge storage space, but my seat is solid.

Thanks!

1. Yes as already posted driver side inside visor was standard the passenger side is an accessory.

2. The dash clock was electric. A rear view mirror clock was windup.

3. No glove box on Chevrolets until a couple of years later. Other makes had them in 1932.

4. The rear seat bottom is removable. There is limited space under it. Many with side mounted front fender (or two) use a trunk rack on the back with separate trunk on top of it. There is also an accessory solid mounted trunk.

If anyone has a picture of their interior, showing the sun visors, that would be helpful.

Now, to find one. Were they specific to Chevy, or would any visor from GM in 1932 work?

They do show up on eBay once in a while. As to other GM cars, I don't know. Someone else will, though......

Do you have the visor bracket or do you need the visor and mounting bracket assembly?

Steve,
I can't imagine with the visor down you could see safely out that narrow windshield. I never looked into installing one because of that concern. But you have more road experience than I do. And your'e shorter. laugh

Charlie I don't think I have ever needed to put the visor down more than a couple of times. It does need to be there to complete the original interior though.

You may be able to have the visor made by an upholstery shop. I have an original visor only that you can have . It's complete but well worn and could be used to replicate or use as is. Send me a PM with your address and I'll drop it in the mail.

Oh, my goodness -- that would be fantastic! Thank you so much!

The seller included a partial bolt of the original material used in the interior, so we should be able to make it match perfectly!

I owe you one. I will try to send you a PM here in a minute.

Yes a hardboard covered by fabric makes up the visor that is attached to the hardware.

Well, I received the original visor in the mail from the kind-but-unnamed donor, above -- thank you! Now I need to find the actual visor hardware.

Any ideas anyone?

Thanks!

Sweet! As long as they are functional, I can always have them re-chromed!

My phone is 361-563-6035 for texting.

How much would you like for them?
