After looking and searching multiple web sites I finally got the flickering problem resolved. Chevrolet service bulletin dated July 1987. Headlights may flicker after extended driving with fog lights on. Due to headlight switch overheating causing the internal circuit breaker to turn off and on. This condition occurs only on switches manufactured at the extreme low end of the tolerance band. To repair a relay should be added to the fog light circuit as follows. Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove left hand hush panel and lower I.P. trim cover. Install relay kit P/N 14103317 following instructions provided in the kit. Reconnect battery cable and check for proper operation of the headlamps and fog lights. Sorry for such a long post but hopefully it will be of some help. Thank you,Tiffin28.
