Good day.
Does anyone have a good picture of a factory radio box mounted under dash in a '36 passenger??
I'm just trying to figure out the locations of that, my heater box, fuse box, windshield heater ducting, etc.
As always, I appreciate your input. kens94s@hotmail.com

If you look on the outside (engine side) of your firewall, you will probably find little divots to locate the holes, assuming a factory radio box and a factory heater. Some other GM makes with FIsher bodies had that. If the little divots exist, you should be able to match them to the studs on the back of your factory accessories and see whats up.

I would GUESS that the heater is on the right side, the radio to the left, and the external speaker, if used, in the middle or slightly to the right. Gene will probably know for sure.

I did not think there was windshield ducting in 1936. so I would like to learn about that as well.

I see you're in Canada. Is it a Canadian model? Is it Standard or Master? They are very different cars in the mid 30s.

Hi bloo,

It is a Standard series coupe, "body by Fisher Canada".
Looking for divots might be a good idea..tho over the years there have been many extra holes added for who knows what. The ducting is an aftermarket accessory that came with my "Wards" heater box. 1" tubing is routed to the windshield under the dash, but needs to have a 2" slot drilled into fascia just below the window trim. (Easy to do when I'm changing the window glass and seal) A deflector is attached to direct the air flow to the glass....a very clean and factory looking installation. Sure beats an old fan mounted on the dash!
