I agree that if 6v worked well why change it. However my age makes me want power steering for my 50 They simplest would be electric assist but I find nothing not 12v. LooseRocker
Here is my new power assist on my 34 Chevrolet Roadster makes life easy especially in parking lots versus 10 point turns with wide meats! Of all my other old cars with no power steering or assist will for sure make life easy! But these operate on 12V! Just a thought maybe you could just add a 12V convertor for this new device ! Rory
I changed my 1951 1 Ton to 12 volts to get better headlights. I now have a reflector type light with H4 bulbs. They look almost identical to sealed beams. The result is lighting that is comparable to a modern vehicle.
My 1951 1 Ton is now on the road! My 38 Master 4 Door is also now on the road .
