I was down in my shop yesterday and got to thinking (probably not good) that the clocks in my 37 and 48 used to work but had not for a few years. I decided to investigate. The 37 being my favorite was the first to get checked. The 37 clock has an electronic automatic rewind. I removed the clock from the car and opened it up, the works were clean and free. The auto rewind was not working, so I cleaned the points in it and found a loose wire connector wire end and put it back in and it worked. It is still working today. The 48 just had the balance wheel gummed up and a little wd 40 and it fired up and is still working today. Just a kind of fun day to make things work again. Am I nuts or just finding things an old man can enjoy? LOL

Your not nuts, just awesome. Life should be about making things better, especially if it is an old CHEVY.

Best wishes, Mike

I agree with Mike. If Mike is wrong all of us old Chevy guys must be nuts.
I have started reassembling the brakes on my 38 truck but that cant be completed until I find front wheel bearings and rear drums, the pair I ordered from COTF were on back order with no expected restock time so Jim Carter may well get a email.

Uncle Ed, my philosophy is that if I do one job per day successfully, then it has been a satisfying fulfilling day. You serviced 2 clocks on the same day, so you should be doubly happy!!!
