I want to remove the oil pan on my 1933 Master. I thought it would be wise to ask the more experienced Chevrolet "experts" than I what to expect. I am assuming the pan can be dropped without having to make any adjustments to engine position, but not sure, Can I draw on your experience?

I removed the pan on my 33 pickup. The crankshaft must be in the right position (rotation wise)

I had understood that the crank needed to be positioned in a particular manner but I don't know what that position is?? Any specific direction? Is that the only problem?

For my "34 Master I had to disconectthe tie rod on one end and crankshaft position was not involved.

I can see that I need to get it up higher and spend a little time examining the obstacles. I hadn't considered interference from the tie rod although that shouldn't be a huge problem. It would be helpful if the crank position was not a problem, but, once again, not necessarily a major problem. At any rate, any advice is appreciated.
