Can someone provide a description of the: 1932 Speedometer Driven Shaft Bushing p/n 590623 on page 27 of the MPPL August 1, 1932?
Where did it fit on the driven shaft and what was its function?
The MLLP August 1, 1932 does not illustrate the driven shaft bushing on page 22, 27 or page 29. This bushing should not be confused with the spacer p/n 354756 used in '29-31; which is not listed for a 1932.
After 10 years and some 13K miles later, another driven gear has sacrificed itself for the cause and I am trying to diagnose the problem before installing another set of these very hard to find parts.
The transmission is an early '32 production.
(Yes, there was plenty of 600W oil dripping out when the driven shaft bearing and sleeve were removed - my shirt sleeve told me so as I tried to remember which side of the universal joint housing to push the driven gear shaft from.)
