Radiators for the '27 and '28 1 ton trucks are the same. I do not know if this radiator is the same for the 1927 cars.
The '28 cars and 1/2 ton trucks (built on the same car chassis) are very different from the '27s. The '28 radiators were getting ready to cool the '29 inline six.
If you look at the front view of my two trucks, you can easily see the differences between Lurch's radiator (27) and Justin's radiator (28).

The 1928 1/2 ton commercial chassis is different to a passenger car,as the rear cross member was made to have the spare tyre & rim clamped up underneath it like a 1 ton truck, and the petrol tank was under the seat, again like a 1 ton truck and was actually a truck petrol tank. A 1927 passenger car radiator has the same dimensions as a 1927/28 1 ton truck(I bought a NOS GMA core for a '27 Capitol AA and it fitted my '28 LP truck perfectly).I had a core made by the bloke you're talking about up in Queensland for my '29 Oldsmobile Landau Sedan, and the workmanship is great, but it might be not too costly to get a core made made for your truck, but the shipping would be a killer. If you want some pictures & measurements of the filler neck on my '28 truck, let me know and I'll email them to you.
