I just picked-up a 50 Chevy 235 De Lux from my old Aunt. I was wondering if adding MMO in with the gas on this old engine would help lube the old valves. I was reading were one person mixes in kerosene with his gasoline when he fills her up.

IMHO MMO works much better than kerosene, but MMO isn't just for lunch (in the gas tank) While the car is running at a fast idle hold the trottle open manually and pour a litle MMO at a time down the air intake and choke the engine down, don't let it die do that a couple of times then let it choke down on MMO and die, do this so that you can let the car set a couple of hours then start it up and let it run till it quits putting out the white smoke, Be careful that the neighbors don't call the fire department, form all the white smoke!

Glyn, I am just lucky, my neighbors can't even spell EPA, most of them are cow or goat critters.

very good news. Due to land costs in this area I bought this last house in a subdivision. I like it very much but have some pretty enviromentaly inclined neighbors.

I live in California; the EPA assigns an employee to each household. Here he comes now...RUN

If those enviro-natzi's were more consistant in their actions then they would be more effective. How many do you know that ride a bicycle or walk to work? Do they own only small energy efficient vehicles? How many work at a place that is not air conditioned? How many grow only native plants that do not require watering and fertilizer? Plant trees and bushes that will help feed insects, birds and animals. Cut the yard with a self-propelled (human powered) mower? Grow as much of their own food as possible? Do not have any pets?

Virtually all are hypocrites but will tell you they are not. Don't get me wrong, I believe in conservation, environmental protection and love thy neighbor but try my best to take a reasonable approach.

I'd agree, Chipper. Sanctimonious and self-righteous posturing by anybody for any cause does lend to appearing hypocritical. Just under a full half our lakes in the Adirondack Park are "dead" due to the high level of acidity caused by wind borne emissions, and we get high smog alerts that trigger asthma attacks, so air quality standards are important to us. I don't think any commonsense person would get worked up over smoke from a one time shot at adding MMO to their motor.

Hand mowers are actually a great benefit, because I can cut my grass early in the morning or late in the evening without bothering my neighbors!
