VCCA Home Forums TECHNICAL - 1945 AND EARLIER 1937-1945 1937/38 Door Latch Spring Replacement

I just busted the large return spring on my driver side door latch. I see that a previous repair was done and a slide pin that was originally peened over is now brazed in. I would rather not try rebuilding this, does anybody offer a rebuild service or does someone have a nice original ?

You might check ebay for someone parting out a '38. Hope you find a fix.

Ouch. Sorry to hear that. I went thru that spring replacement on my 41 last month. I had to trim down the retaining clip to get it to fit in the correct orientation.

Filling station does not have the complete door latch assembly! But they do have this complete kit!
