Should the '41 oil pan be attached to the block with a 1/4-20 x 7/16 hex bolt, as shown on p. 30 of the '29-'50 parts book, or a slotted pan head machine screw, as mine is, or possibly a mix?

The end larger bolts are hex. Inbetween screws are flat head slotted machine screws. Often you find someone has replaced the slotted head screws with hex head cap screws,

Thanks. I thought that was the case because that is the way my '32 is. In the case of my '41, recently acquired, the hex bolts were replaced with machine screws. Interesting that the parts book does not mention the machine screws.
