Can anyone furnish me with the dimensions of an intake and exhaust valve for a 30 as in the height of the valve and the height of the keeper slot?

Thank you in advance.

Hi Steve
I thought I would post this for you and everyone else on the chat site. Attached is a list I made up from my old McQuay Norris parts catalog with the breakdown for the years 1929-33 Chevy, valve part number, valve head size, valve length and stem diameter. Also listed is are the valve spring specs that I found from the McQuay Norris, Toledo and Thompson parts catalogs 1929-33. I checked the length from the bottom of the valve head margin to the top of the keeper slot and was around 4.440. From the top of the keeper slot to the end of valve I came up with around .175 inches.

I probably have some NOS or NORS valves. I will sell them pretty cheap.
That being said, My machinist does not like old stock valves. He says the alloy is not as good as newer valves. He often finds a later valve and modifies it to fit older engines.
My theory is that our engines lead a pretty stress free life and original parts are adequate.
