my son just bought a 66 caprice 2 door hardtop .it has a 327 with quadrajet 4bbl,powerglide trans.engine runs like a top i"m not much of a mechanic so i need your guys help. i was told there were only 17000 of these cars made ours is 16474 and about 400 left still on the road .does anyone know how accurate this is i have no idea . the car is in pretty good shape outside of the normal rust areas but i expected that . we can fix that pretty easy , the only thing that concerns me is two spots on the frame ,each side of the car under each door the frame is pretty much shot i"M hopeing we can weld some box steel and eliminate the bad spots . what do you guys think.
