im rebuilding my front springs for a 31 pickup I pressed out the pins and bushings ordered new ones then pressed them back in. i'm not 100% I got them in the right end. my question is one end is about 2" longer from the center pin does that longer end go forward or to the rear?
thanks Jay D.

The long end goes at the back. The axle is centered ahead of the center of the spring.

GREAT, thanks. I put the shackle hangers back on and installed the springs and then thought i'm not 100% sure that's right, so that's great news. I didn't want to press pins and bushing back out. I was careful to get things right but have a lot of other things going on so it sometimes hard to keep track of what's going on. i'll install the axel tomorrow then head to the rear i'll be more careful back there.
thank so much for the good word
Jay D.
