Hoping you guys can double check my work as this is the first old Chevy Iv ever worked on. Getting the 33 Master back together after the tear down. I could not find much reference for the adjustment for the 33 but did find a youtube on a 54 and the valve set looked exactly like the 33 so I used that to make the first adjustment. Here is what I did>>

I brought the flywheel line to line up with pointer in the little window, I then double checked to make sure the rotor was at number one cylinder..Then I adjusted rockers numbers 1/E,2/I, 3/I,5/E,7/I,9/E. Then turned the engine one full turn on the flywheel so the pointer lined up with the line on the flywheel and worked backwards making the adjustments on the remaining valves. To double check my work I brought the rotor to line up in order of the pistons from 1 to 6 and checked each valve again and it seemed to be right. I should add, For the first adjustment before starting the engine I adjusted the intakes at 009 and the exhaust at 012. I felt that should leave enough room for expansion after the engine warms up to operating temperature. After I get the engine warmed up I will readjust to valves to 006 on the intake and 008 on the exhaust.

So, do I get a gold star or do I need to sit in the corner with a dunce cap on?

Place a gold star on each shoulder, make a mint julep, go sit on the patio.

As Ray said you have done it 1 of the 2 correct methods I know. I do them by the rocking method, set #1 cylinder so the ex is closing and inlet opening and adjust both on #6 then turn crank until #5 rocks and adjust #2 for the full cycle.
