I finally found my original clutch disc (my filing system sucks). My thinking was to put it back in the car. The car sat in a barn for almost 30 and it never stuck. I'm still waiting for shop time to open up to get the '38 in and see exactly what the problem is. As it turns out the rivets are showing wear on my original so I'm going to need to get it resurfaced. Do any of you have actual experience with a particular shop that relines clutch discs? There are a lot of outfits that advertise the service but I'd rather use one that has a proven track record. Recommendations??

If your disc is that old you may have to drill the rivets yourself. Some shops out here in the West won't even let a disc that may be asbestos in the door.

I have not seen a clutch disc that didnt have the facings riveted on. The mdern bonding (gluing) does not allow for the flexing of the fingers between the facings.
