You used to be able to just purchase the interior cable which made repairing the thing easy.. You removed the broken one, trimmed the new one to length and attached one end. Actually I might have one of those in the attic. Let me know if you want me to look.

I have had good luck finding NOS or NORS parts on eBay.

Thanks to both of you for your input. I was able to find the complete cable and housing on ebay and have it on the way. Again, thanks for the help.
