Is there any place i can buy new window regulator clutch and shaft kits? I have the regulators but the one clutch is messed up and the other side someone removed it. Sometimes I wish cars could talk. I would love to hear the stories about why they were rigged so bad in the past

There is a different style with a clutch and spring in there. I do not know if the style you are showing is correct or will work. Hopefully someone here has more experience with regulators than I do

The above regulator parts for sale are not compatible to the 41 regulators I am familiar with. Perhaps the ones for sale are for trucks? Here is an old post of mine with pictures covering refurbishing my 41 regulators.
1941-48 Window Regulator

Good luck, Mike

Mike, your post is very informative. The ones i have are like yours with the clutch and spring inside. The one side has a broken spring and the aftermarket ones seem wrong. My other side someone took apart and pieces are missing

Chev's of the 40s has some replacement parts, but you need to be extra careful that they are sized specific to your parts. I might have extra parts if you need any, and might be able to rebuild your regulators for you from my extra regulators. The big deal is that your regulators might be for a much heavier piece of glass which I am not familiar? I have a 2 door sedan. I have bought a few springs that were not sized correctly. I usually get my springs from old regulators.

Good luck, MIke

Thanks Mike. I am going to try and rebend the clutch spring that i got from chevs of the 40s and fix the one side. I may take you up on parts or repair on other side. I may have a line on a couple used ones for parts. I have a cabriolet so the glass is not real big or heavy. I am going to Vegas next week so I may look around junk yards out there.I also need some convertible top frame parts. I may get lucky out there with parts
