I have a 1935 Phaeton project on my hands. Considering how few were made, I think its important to rescue this car that is mostly apart and is in the early stages of restoration. Does anyone have or know of a restoration album for a '35 Phaeton that I might be able to refer to as I start my project? I want to keep the original body color but change the leather and top color. My car is complete, just needs a lot of work to go back together. I have a lot of questions, but too many for my first posting. Thanks for any tips or pictures

Welcome to Chatter. It seems like you have acquired some fun and hard work in the 1 bundle. I am not familiar with the 35 model but there are several others that frequent this forum that are more knowledgeable. Tony
Thanks Tony. I do look forward to putting this car back together, even if it takes a while. A lot of the key pieces are done, the engine has been rebuilt and the frame has been cleaned and repainted, the body has been stripped down to the bare metal and its a , very solid complete car. Considering I've never restored a car before, I'm going to err on the side of more hard work and less fun for now. Fortunately, I've found this forum and have some friends will better skills than me for restoring cars. -Brian
Are the front fenders on the '35 Chevy cars interchangeable between the master and standard series? And does anyone have a nice 1935 car fender that has the slot for the spare tire? I know it wouldnt be correct for my car, but I like the look.
The fenders, hoods, grille and all body pats are very different between 1935 Masters and Standards. Also there were no open cars in the Master series in the US.
1934 Standard series cars are the only ones to share sheet metal parts with your car. There is a side mount bracket for sale in the classifieds. Maybe he has the fender also.
Thanks Mike. Do you remember which classified ad you saw the posting for that bracket? Im new, so are the classfieds available online like the forum or just in the magazine? Thanks
1935 CHEVROLET PHAETON, how many left , at least 6 are left and all are street rod modified I am aware of. One is being done in London Ontario now. Rory 1934 Holden Sports Roadster under NEW REBUILD!
There is or was one in Albuquerque not street rodded but was not correct in some respects. The guy wanted 45,000 for it which is too much, especially when he paid 35,000.
Rory At this stage I have trouble believing that is a Aussie built car, the controls are on the wrong side. Someone may have converted it to LHD but that destroys the originality. Tony
