I,m looking for the Head bolt torque setting for a 28 4 cyl / 171 motor.Does any one have a list of torque setting,s for the motor. 
isn't 28 great

The repair manual specifies "tight". None of the bolts are high strength steel so torque on all of them will be less than you expect. I would suggest 60 ft-lbs. max on the head bolts. Some will likely stretch or are already stretched so inspect them closely and take it easy. Other bolts will be in the 10-35 ft-lbs range depending on the size. Remember that the compression ratio is ~5:1 so not as much pressure is required to hold the head and keep it leak free.

duh !! I forgot that there probably wasnt many specific specifications in those days.Thnx for the info
