I need a headlight switch. Found them listed at Chevy of the 40s, but they are out of stock. Anyone aware of a source? Much appreciated.

The mechanic working on it doesn't think it can be repaired, but I'm not sure.

Call Vintage Chevy Parts: 760-723-5134. He had an impossible to find part for my '53. The worst he can tell you is he doesn't have it. Be prepared to pay up if he does have it but then what's unobtainium worth??

Here is one on eBay. Listed as '35/'36 but the part number they use matches the '37/'38 switch as listed in my 1941 Master Parts Catalog $60.00 NOS. 401485416473

Below are pics someone sent me of an OEM '37 switch. My '38 doesn't have the coiled wire thing on the side.

The coil thingon the switch is the resistor that controls charging rate on a 1937. 1938 has a current regulator.

We have two. One is sealed in the box $60, the other in an opened box, $35. Plus shipping from Denver. Your purchase will support a public 501(c)(3) transmportation museum. Photos attached. If interested, send a PM to BlueBandana or me.
