Bought a barn find after a few owners 34 master 2 door 5 seater.
After purchase ( I know dummy) I found the tie rod rubbing.
After more time and help from a member ( Bill & Gene) I found out I have a 34 car with a 35 engine. Needless to say front motor mounts are screwed up.
Does any one know what I need to change to make the front mounts work.? The one side mount is on, was there one on both sides,
And is there a book out that shows this stuff.

Thanks in advance

OK, this is what I discovered. The front mount plate for a 34 is different from a 1935. The area where the motor mounts attach to for the 1935 are higher than the 1934. This will cause the front of the engine to sit lower. Next what year front mounts are you using? The 1934 mounts have rounded ends and the 1935 are retangular The 1935 mounts fit from 1935-1951 and are readily available for a resonable price. I believe they are taller than the 1934 monts.
Then we get to the side motor mounts. The 1934 left side nount had a large bracket the bolts to a boss on the side of the engine. The 1935 has nor provision for this. The right side as a bracket that bolts to the flywheel housing. The side mounts carry no weight, just prevent the engine from twistin. The 1935 (and up) has brackets the bolt to the flywhhel housing on top and little cross member on the bottom.
My guess is with what you have the engine is about 2 inches too low and some kind od a bracket or spacers will need to be made to raise it up where it belongs.
I was out of town today but will send you some pictures of the 1934 mount system.
