Attached are pictures of 2 carbs. Both are W1. manual choke. Split choke plate with springs though each choke plate is slightly different. One has 3 screw top cover but the other only has 2 screw top cover. Easiest way to discuss one vs the other is one has chrome cover and one has black cover.

Are these Chevy? If so Approx which years?

Thanks

1936 and prior carbs, had a two screw bowl cover and split choke valve and the dog leg style throttle lever.

1937 has split choke and 4 screw bowl cover and zig-zag lever.

1938 has one piece choke plate.

Tim,

Here's how to ID those carbs:

Notice that throttle arms are straight until 1937.

If you're working on a '37 I have an original Carter "kit" for it.

I just looked at the information through the link Ray provided.

I am a little confused by the picture you see when you select the 1937 carburetor. The written description sates that it has a 2 piece choke. The picture shows what looks like a single plate choke.

Am I missing something?

In the picture you can not see enough of the choke plate to tell but can see the end of the two piece choke spring that allows one half of the choke plate to open when cranking.
