Hi Guys, after installing a new gasket on my pushrod cover, I am installing the plugs on my 35 Master (207 engine). Having a bit of an issue with the clearance around the plugs. The spark plug holes in the pushrod cover are a bit off center making it difficult to get a standard socket to engage. I am going to see if a thin wall socket (like my chainsaw uses) will work.

Curious if the standard procedure was to install plugs before installing the pushrod cover? Or, was there a special socket used? Ideally, a 3-sided socket would work for me if there is such a thing?

Check to make sure none of the cork gaskets around the spark plug holes have not slipped. You could also loosen the screws holding the pushrod cover and then try to install the plugs. I hope this helps.

The repacement cork sealing rings for the side cover are made of a harder material than the original cork. This prevents the cover from squashing down all the way. I have had the same problem.

Hi All, so I wanted to share a solution I found for the spark plug wrench. My push rod cover spark plug holes leave little clearance for a standard socket. I took a trip to our local tractor supply and found a thin wall 13/16" socket wrench. Works great!

Here is a picture:

Hope this helps anyone who has run into the same challenge! :)
