Hi
Just getting my clutch plate reclined on my 1928 truck and wondered what thickness they should be? They were talking about riveting the linings back onto the plate, were they originally glued?
Many thanks
Colin

Filling station sells a new one at a good price i just brought one looks just like the origonal, you might find your old plate will have worn splines that run on the front gear box shaft?

The clutch plate should have a wave built into the disk. That needs to be set first. I believe the linings are 1/8" and yes they get riveted (with brass rivets).. There are instructions in the April 1928 Service news bulletin on how to put the wave back in. If they reline it flat without the wave the clutch will grab and chatter.
