Help! I just installed an NOS transmission vacuum shift canister on my 1940 Chevy. With the old vacuum assist canister, the transmission shifted relatively well, but it did have some leakage of vacuum. With the new NOS vacuum shift canister in the car, the transmission shifts fine except for one problem......
The tranny pops out of high gear every so often while cruising down the highway at 55-60.
In the 1940 shop manual it states to adjust the vacuum cansiter by using a "Kent Moore special adjusting bushing J-1452-5" I don't have one of these tools. How do I adjust the canister on the transmission?
